The Honors Choirs of Southeast Minnesota recently expanded their program offerings to include twice-weekly “Discovering Music” classes at the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester. There are four individual choirs for children in grades 3 – 12 that make up the Honors Choirs, and with the addition of the music classes, the organization has been able to enhance the arts curriculum of the Boys & Girls Club by bringing a high-quality music education experience directly to Club members. This unique partnership was made possible with generous grants from Macy’s Rochester, the Mayo Foundation, and the Rochester Area Foundation.The classes were recently featured in a Post-Bulletin article here.
