Bonestroo Teams With Kraus-Anderson; Receives Top Construction Awards

A local partnership, Bonestroo and Kraus-Anderson, both Rochester Area Chamber members, won double awards last week for the design and construction of Bonestroo’s new 75,000-square-foot headquarters building in Roseville, Minn.

On Wednesday, January 23, the Minnesota Construction Association (MCA) presented Bonestroo and Kraus-Anderson with its Project of the Year award for new construction over $10 million. The next day, the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) presented the team with its annual Award of Excellence in the Build-to-Suit (50,000-100,000 sq. ft.) category.

The $15 million project, located at the intersection of highways 280 and 36, was constructed by Kraus-Anderson in 13 months. Bonestroo, one of the Midwest’s largest engineering and planning firms, is both the building’s tenant and designer. Kraus-Anderson Construction Company is the project’s general contractor and construction manager.

Clearly visible from Highway 36 in Roseville, the new Bonestroo building is enhanced with an exterior LED strip lighting system that provides an ever changing dynamic to the façade.
