Senator Coleman in Rochester to discuss Energy Issues

Responding to the widening impact of skyrocketing energy costs on Minnesota businesses and commuters, Senator Norm Coleman will travel to Rochester on Wednesday, July 2nd to discuss his comprehensive legislation to address our energy security needs by increasing domestic energy production, expanding renewable and alternative energy sources, and emphasizing technological solutions.

At Midwest Specialized Transportation, Sen.Coleman will receive a briefing on the effects of the current energy crisis on the business. Following the briefing, Sen. Coleman and the company leaders will address an audience of employees and local leaders. Al Koenig, Chairman of the Board, Midwest Specialized Transportation, will give an outline on the effects of increased energy costs on the business and introduce Sen. Coleman. Sen. Coleman will then deliver brief remarks focused on his Energy Resource Development Act of 2008, followed by a question and answer period with the media and audience.
