Ribbon Cutting: Channel One Food Bank & Food Shelf

As mentioned in an earlier post, big changes have been underway at Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf -- Southeast Minnesota's largest hunger relief organization. From an extensive remodeling and expansion project, to a change in leadership, the organization is now looking toward the future and continuing to meet the increasing need for food assistance throughout the region.

With these recent happenings, Channel One held an event last Friday that allowed the community the opportunity to meet with Cynthia Shaffer, the organization's new executive director. Also included in the afternoon's festivities were tours of the newly remodeled facility and of course, a Chamber ribbon cutting!
