Over the last year, big changes have been underway at Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf -- Southeast Minnesota's largest hunger relief organization. From an extensive remodeling and expansion project, to a change in leadership, the organization is now looking toward the future and continuing to meet the increasing need for food assistance throughout the region.
With these recent happenings, Channel One is offering the community an opportunity to meet with Cynthia Shaffer, the organization’s new executive director, and to tour the remodeled facility and learn more about the mission impacts of the construction project.
The community open house will be held Jan. 25 from 3 - 5 p.m. at Channel One which is located at 131 35th Street SE in Rochester. A short ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. Tours of the facility will be available throughout the event. This event is free and open to the public.
