Local Chamber Members Attend America's Small Business Summit

A Rochester delegation joined 600 attendees across the country in Washington D.C. to attend the 6th annual U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Summit last month. Joe Weis, Weis Builders, Jon Eckhoff, Venture Computer Systems, Mike Schnell, MLT Group, Mitch Stevenson, Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau and John Eckerman, Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce participated in the three day event held April 16-18, 2008. Minnesota was well represented with 60 attendees.

The Summit was a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit, jobs, and prosperity that small businesses contribute to our society. It is also an opportunity for small businesses to learn about and mobilize around key legislative, regulatory and operational issues that are critical to the success of small business.

More information about the trip will be highlighted in June's issue of Chamber Advantage. The Chamber will be looking for additional Rochester area business leaders to attend next year's summit.
