America on the Move Week at the Rochester Area Family Y

During the week of Sept. 20-27, the Rochester Area Family YMCA will provide a variety of opportunities for those in our community to engage in activities that promote good health and strengthen family bonds. Together, Rochester Area Family YMCA and America On the Move will build on the work they do everyday to inspire our community, families, and individuals to make small changes in their daily habits that add up to big benefits in their long-term health.

The schedule for the week is:

Monday, Sept. 22: Adult Wellness
From 6:00-8:00 PM, there will be adult fitness demos on group exercise classes, nutrition/cooking with Jen Brewer, Y Dietician, free chair massage with Deb, Massage Therapist, and meet the personal trainer to ask questions. There will be raffles and drawing for prizes.

Wednesday, Sept. 24: Active Older Adult Wellness
From 9AM-Noon, there will be senior fitness demos, including our Silver Sneakers classes. There will also be nutrition/cooking with Jen Brewer, Y Dietician, chair massage with Deb, Massage Therapist, and meet the personal trainer and ask questions! There will be raffles and drawing for prizes.

Friday, Sept. 26: Family Wellness
From 6:00-9:00 PM, there will be demos for families on Drums Alive and Zumba (any aged kids can be part of this with an parent). Information on youth programs-Y SPACE & Kid's Care Open House, water activities for kids and families, nutrition info, samples, & cooking advice with Jen Brewer, Y Dietician.
